Prague, the capital of the Czech republic is filled with many great old buildings. This one is called the powder gate. Apparently in times past the fine burghers stored their gun powder here, hence the name. The city is filled with fine examples of old buildings. One old chap told me that the reason ofr this is that the city was spared the carpet bombing by the Allies during World War 2.
And the beer is not bad either.

This is hilarious a possum bailed a family up and they called the Police who used capsicum spray to subdue the creature. Mr Posssum managed to escape the long spray of the law. It must be true I read it in a news paper

Well google have just released their new web browser called Chrome. I cant help myself I have downloaded the beta and am using it as I make this post. so far so good. I have just installed it on my XP Pro SP3 machine without incident. It seems a little slow but that is an unreliable variable it may well be the site where this blog is posted. I like the fact that you can drag tabs off the browsers, in to another window or another monitor if you are lucky to have one of those.
Just prior to this IE8 now has a public beta and that seems on first looks to be better than its predecessor, well it hasn’t crashed on me yet! However this chrome thing is apparently built using a different paradigm to the existing browsers and is supposedly rather crash proof time will tell I suppose.
Another test this time posting from inside Word 2007. I suppose this has the advantage of all the text tools within the program such as grammar check and spell check. Just another way to rant on the net I guess.
Apparently it is snowing in Hobart tonight!!! At least it is a moist winter this year in South Australia bring on the climate sceptics.

Stu has commented on his site that people have pinched content from his site and repackaged at their own. My post is just a proof of concept, and a tribute to what he is doing. A really great site.
Well we are back in Adelaide , back to work and all the usual. We are actually having a winter this year complete with rain. Looking for a flickr plugin to link some photos to the site. Here is a picture
of the astrological clock in Prague. It is quite an amazing city that has lots old buildings and charm. Apparently it missed in the bombing in WW2 so it remains largely intact. IT might be ine of those cities that will lose its charm as it becomes more of a tourist destination and the wealth of the country increases.

This Pelican was just lurking in Mykanos, quite tame and would let anyone pat it. We saw it several times wandering in the lanes of Mykanos.
AS you can see it was not fussy about who patted it!
Well now we are in Zagreb after having raced down the middle of Europe. I an world wind 3 weeks we have been to Norway , Copenhagen, Berlin ,Prague and Trieste. We have also squeezed in a 7 day Greek island cruise. This included Kalymnos, Paros Mykanos and Bodrum in Turkey.
Now we are cooling our heels in Zagreb enjoying the fabulous hospitality of Marie’s Cousins.
